Christopher Miersma

I was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, but lived for 15 years in the United States, until the completion of my undergraduate degree at Eastern Washington University. I have a B.A. in Music and an M.A. in Music Theory from the University of Alberta.
Since 2011, I have worked in Information Technology, primarily in Red Hat Enterprise Linux sytems administration, though I have worked with Windows, VMWare, and networking equipment as well in small, medium, and large organizations, in both the public and private sector. In my current role as Cloud Architect at Athabasca University, I am involved in integrating AWS services with existing applications.
In addition to my current professional interests, I retain an interest in Classical music, as a violinist, composer, and theorist. I also take an interest in Reformed doctrine as well as an interest in the overlap between Christian doctrine and music theory, including speculative music theory.
Some of my additional interests include hiking, travel, and classic literature.
